Shipping & Returns


All orders received by our sales department by 3:00 pm Central Time will be processed the same day of being placed. In the event an item is backordered or no longer available a customer service representative will contact you. Orders can be shipped 2nd Day Air or Overnight motorfrieght as well depending on size. Express orders must be placed by 3 P.M. Central to ship that day. Express rates will be automatically calculated on-line when you check out. See shipping charges below.


UPS international charges will apply, otherwise call for rates.

Sales Taxes

Because Economic Electric Motors operates retail establishments in the state of Florida we are required to collect sales tax for orders shipping to this state. The current sales tax rate for Florida is 7% All orders shipping outside the state of Florida or to wholesale customers with a tax certificate on file with Economic Electric Motors will not be charged sales tax.

Return Policy

Economic Electric Motors is committed to providing products of high quality and value, and we back this commitment with a satisfaction guarantee. All returns must have a Return Authorization (RA) for the product being returned. Any item returned without a RA will not be issued a credit. You must have your invoice. All returns must be returned within 30 days of purchase and are subject to a 20% to 25% (depending on manufacture) restocking fee. Economic Electric Motors, Inc. retains the right to refuse any return. Be sure to insure the package for damage. Any returned item that is damaged will not be issued a credit. If you are unsure if a particular product will fit your application, call us and we will be glad to assist you in your selection. Shipping charges incurred to deliver the product to you will not be refunded. All material must be returned "prepaid" shipping in the original carton. Any product we "special order" for you may not be returned. Electrical products being returned must be in "new" condition, not used. Electrical motors with set screw marks on the shaft may not be returned for credit, as we can no longer sell them for new as they have been installed. Electrical items that have had power applied to them may not be returned. Motors that have been modified may not be returned. (Modified means, but not limited to, cutting the shaft, cutting the wires or plug, cutting through bolts, etc.)

Economic Electric Motors, Inc. is not responsible for any lost or damages in return shipment.

Economic Electric Motors, Inc. reserves the right to refuse a return if the product is not in new, un-used and resalable condition.

We urge you to carefully select your product to be sure it is what you need for your particular application. We don't want to sell the wrong item. We recommend you contact a professional (expert) and do not take responsibility for any errors on installation.

The Varity of motors can be overwhelming and the selection of the correct motor can be critical, such as buying a regular motor when a specific washdown motor was needed in food preparation. WE STRONGLY URGE YOU TO CONTACT AN EXPERT WHEN SELECTING YOUR MOTOR.

If in doubt call us, we will be happy to assist you in your selection. If a motor returned to us is found not to be defective, you the purchaser, will be responsible for the shipping costs we incur to have the motor sent back to us. If we do a UPS pickup, UPS charges a $6.50 service charge for a package to be picked up in addition to the normal shipping charge.

The following products may NOT be returned:
• Used merchandise
• Special orders
• Custom orders
• Personalized items
This guarantee must be exercised within 30 days of your receipt of the merchandise. Exceptions may apply for gift items purchased in advance. All return shipping charges must be prepaid (we will not accept return items shipped to us C.O.D.).

Returns and exchanges are accepted only for items purchased from Economic Electric Motors. Refunds will be applied based on the original method of payment.

Defective Products

Any defective product may be returned within 30 days for a replacement or refund.

Missing Items


Damaged Goods

If an item reaches you in damaged condition, save the shipping carton and notify Economic Electric Motors at once. Please do not return damaged or broken merchandise to us unless you receive our instructions to do so. This is necessary so that you do not lose your right to file a claim. All claims for damaged goods must be made with the carrier within 10 days of the invoice date.

How to Return Merchandise to a Branch

Products may be returned to any Economic Electric Motors branch store. To return an item to our warehouse you must re-use your original shipping carton. Please enclose a note with the following information: name, address, phone number, order number, your RA number, reason for return, and whether you would like an exchange or a refund. Please pack your return box securely to prevent damage in transit.

Follow the direction on the enclosed return form.

Shipping Charges

All individual products under 150lbs (the maximum allowed weight by UPS) will be automatically classified into boxes and the lowest possible shipping cost will be calculated by our UPS XML module plus a $6.00 handling fee. Calculations are by weight, and dimensional size of products. Shipping rates are given directly from UPS upon checkout.

If any item in your order is above the 150 lbs limit given by UPS, your freight will be calculated by FedEx Freight. FedEx Freight only ships packages over 150 lbs.

Florida residents with any item in freight over 150 lbs, will be charged a low fixed shipping charge based on $20.00 + 20¢ for each additional pound and sent with a local carrier.

Products may be shipped direct from the manufacturers nearest warehouse direct to you. We also "drop ship" products from our vendors direct to you to save shipping time.

Next Day Air Shipments: Packages shipped next day air on Friday will be delivered on Monday. If you want Saturday delivery, you must specify Next Day Air Saturday, there is an additional fee charged by the package delivery company for this service and it is not available in all areas.

Products are shipped F.O.B. shipping point with freight costs and handling fees paid by Economic Electric Motors and charged to the customer. C.O.D. shipments are not permitted. Other terms and conditions may apply for freight collect, export orders, hazardous materials, special handling or shipments outside the contiguous United States. Any extra charges incurred for additional services, such as customers carrier or special handling by the carrier, must be paid by the customer. Title and risk of loss pass to the customer upon tender of shipment to the carrier. If product is damaged in transit, customer must file claim with the carrier. Orders with shipping weight errors, freight collect, export orders, hazardous materials, special handling or shipments outside may incur higher freight charges, if discrepancy exists only actual shipping charges will be added with the customer’s approval. If customer does not agree to actual shipping charges, customers order will be canceled.
